FAQ
Are you part 107 Licensed for commercial aerial photos/video?
Yes! I AM FAA Part 107 licensed for commercial use of any drone still or video images. Let’s explain this a little further: with the popularity of drone usage, in 2016 the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) developed a set of rules for operating drones in a commercial capacity. The FAA Part 107 Certification is also known as a Remote Pilot Certification, or a “drone license.” Do you need a license to fly a drone? Absolutely not. You do however need to have a license to offer/do any commercial work. As a customer, you must have your work done by a licensed operator. The operator should provide you with a photocopy of their credentials to have on file as proof verification. With the popularity of drone usage and technology growing every year, and more importantly, the untrained misuse of a drone, contact from the FAA is not uncommon. As crazy as it sounds, the FAA is indeed a Federal Agency. Not following these procedures is a violation of federal law, and the last thing that anybody wants is to have communication with a federal agency. Flying drones for either a hobby, or commercial use can be extremely fun and rewarding. It can also be very dangerous in certain circumstances. The Part 107 License is an extensive training on rules and regulations, air space, weather, and many other factors involved in flight. A written exam must be passed to obtain a license, and must be renewed every two years, also via an extensive written exam.
How many images will I receive?
I have always found this question kind of strange. How many do you need to get the job done, or get your point across? Are you looking for just that one banger picture to showcase, or do you need several? There are some situations that simply one or two photos get the job done. Other situations require more. You get the photos you need.
Where are you based?
Central Pennsylvania. More specifically, Lock Haven in Clinton County.
Do you travel?
Yes.
